I am newbie too, i would like meet minded people, hiking camping, more join others, as i have minimun basics, no caravan, just a car, and basic equipment like mat, clothes equipment, snugpak no tent, but if i find minded ppl i would get a tent.
Its more like a start group, but more beginners, couple days and moderate walk etc, btw i am based in north west, so i will be up for lake districts, manchester surrounds, .. More or less thats my idea.
If someone interested, my age range is 20s/40s, but i'm ok with whatever age.
Hey Ann. Probably worth creating a new thread for your area and I'm looking specifically for those in in the south. Otherwise your post might get lost.
I have all intentions of getting out in a tent more often next year - wife won't, so it'll just be me unless our daughter wants to come - so very interested in potential meets and south coast is an area I've not really explored too much.

Hello I live in Bromley I am enjoy wild camping, I have a small one man tent .I also have a Bivy,Plus a tarp. I am 54 , i'd love to go to go to the moors , I camp around the North and South Downs .
I am free most of long weekends .
Maybe arrange a meet up somewhere on the south on North Downs Way at a pub over the weekend .for those that are interested in starting up a little self East, Kent club. Just a thought
