So,
Has anyone got plans to go motorhoming or camping over christmas this year? - will campsites be open do you think?
Im thinking of perhaps taking my campervan up to North yorkshire, Xmas eve/Xmas day/Boxing day - on my own (with the little doggy) - but am unclear as to what might be open for EHU facilities.
The other thing i am concerned about - i was thinking about perhaps booking somewhere for xmas lunch, but it seems that most places only take bookings for 2 people or more and im not keen on paying for 2 lunches and then sitting looking at an empty chair opposite me haha.
Campsite booked for just me and my dog, and pet care for the cat also booked for the festive period, from 24 Dec through to 02 Jan 2021.
Plenty of sites open all year round, try searching for them using UKCS's search facility, and select the 'Open All Year' option.
I am not planning to eat out on the BHs, as I like to cook up a feast myself, menus already planned. They have to be adjusted as I do not have an oven big enough for a duck, which is what I normally have on Christmas Day at home.
I shall also bring some frozen home-cooked meal along with me, just need to add some veg and/or starch.
I may pop into a pub not far from the campsite that does good food for a meal to have a rest from cooking.
I camped over Christmas before in a tent and it was great, so I am really looking forward to this trip as I did not camp in 2019 and this year.
