Hi chrisnirene.

We are gong to Devon on Monday for 4 days,then we will be home for 8 days,then off to Peak district.Packhorse farm near Matlock,never been before but it looks very nice

We're thinking about going to Derbyshire this weekend - Friday til Sunday.

Not quite sure where yet though but Matlock seems to be the favourite place atm.

The peak district is beautiful, my home turf but i have to agree with Jane it can be very, VERY busy.

hi if you want to try the derbyshire dales i would say try somewhere near ashbourne its a lovely little town,and there is some great walks(and i dont walk anywhere)..lol..ur not far from dove dale either which is fab i could walk around there for hour's!!

try The Grouse and claret in Rowsley - they have a camping area at the back, the food is great the pitches are ok and the area is lovely and quiet. We went the other weekend and loved it. Only about 5 mins from Bakewell and about 10 from Matlock also theres a peak outlet for shopping which is great for a leisurely stroll we cant wait to return!!!!!!!!!!
