Booked for the National and as this is our first meet I don't want to get off to a bad start by breaking some unwritten rule I don't know about! My question is this: is it OK to bag a pitch next door to yours for a friend who will be arriving later? Our friends do not have any cooking equipment and so will need to share ours and it will be a right pain for them if they are on the other side of the field! If it is OK, what do you do? just park your car on the neighbouring pitch?
The best solution is to arrive together but failing this I would speak to the Host as Sparky has already suggested, I imagine it may get quite congested at times and if a lot of peeps arrive at the same time.....could be a bit difficult.
Or you could take his tent and partly pitch it next to yours. He could then finish the job when he arrives. Or just fully pitch it for him then make him feel guilty so he buys the drinks all weekend
when we went to elvaston we parked our car where our friends tt was to go and this was ok as we had asked the host before hand, plus she was saving a pitch as well. just hope they turn up otherwise you will have a big area to sit in feeling a little greedy as we felt........our friends where late.
we were'nt late, what is they say, save the best till last, lol
