Well where can I start? BORDERCAZ my sincerest thanks for your warm welcome and for having an open awning door (even in that weather!) To other members who knew it was our first ukcampsite meet, and were so helpful and friendly. TARTAN TEARAWAY...(Stuart and Elaine) my hot cups of tea tasted better with your donated teabags what do they put in them in Scotland? Thank you. Your son Ross kept me and my Kaz smiling all the way home. He is a lovely boy. Hope to see you again soon. LUNNIE. you are such an interesting lady and hope to continue our camp chats about world travel next time. LITTLE AL for his WWF wrestling match (I submit!!!) To ALL who kindly applauded my karaoke effort. To my new camping buddies MUNSI (Brian and Lisa) whos bad habbits of drinking to excess and eating curry at 4 am new years day left me bog eyed. FINALLY THE BIGGEST THANKYOU TO GARY the owner of the trotting mare and all his staff. In particular the Chefs and waiting staff. The array of beers, real ales, wines etc are a wonderful marriage to the excellent food. The finest I have tasted in all my years of camping anywhere. GARY you are a wonderful host with a wonderful site. We shall definately be regulars.
All the best Michael. University Lecturer Hotel Catering Tourism and Leisure.
Hi Michael, thank you. We had started our thanks to Caz on the Trotting Mare meet, but yes it was a really good meet, interesting and lively ppl, and Ross is a true little helper, pity about me not always understanding him, need to learn Scots language!
Gary was a really good host, and the food was excellant, and well done to all who got up and sang. And to think we had our very own Peter Kay!!!!
Caz as usual provided us with a brilliant meet in really bad weather conditions, and I loved her little crisps, quite addictive.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
