We Have been Thinking for some time now about Buying
3 x Berth Campervan .
As we are Old now and Elderly .
And have not Camped in a Tent for Years
One of the Priorities is ..It Must have A Toilet onboard .
As My wife Is Disabled now .
Any advice on a Good Reliable Campervan
Will be Greatfully Accepted
As you are in Cheshire, have a ride out to Spinney to have a look at what's available. Caravan finder will show you layouts for campervans
Does it need to be 3 berth? as most are designed for 2 unless they have a pop roof or sofa made up for usually little uns.
Have you thought of some of the smaller 6m type motorhomes like an Elddis 105 or Autosleepers Nuevo, both have bathrooms, decent kitchen area and make up beds in lounge - you will have more room than a campervan.
A lot will depend on other needs besides a bathroom, like fixed bed or make up, campervans have a french bed, transverse double across the back or singles.
As for reliability it all depends on how well its been looked after and serviced, both for the base vehicle and the habitation side. I would personally steer away from a home conversion and stick to those professionally converted.

The Spinney looks Ideal for looking at and checking the Vehicles to Suit
I Shall certainly have a Drive out to Cranage .
We have an Autosleeper Nuevo & we love it, but we have to make up the bed at night. Plus it’s too high to go under car park gantries & too wide for little back roads. (So it can’t be your only vehicle, if that’s a consideration.)
Here’s my suggestion, based on a friend’s vehicle: look at campervans (panel van conversions PVCs), specifically ones where you can leave the bed made up at the rear of the vehicle (length wise or across: lie down & check for your height.) There’ll be a lounge / dining area at the front near the kitchen area, that can be a third bed if needed.
But most important, try the washroom for size, including shutting the door & sitting down on the loo (with the lid shut, of course): there are many different layouts & our room is very tight.
We have seen a number of campervans with one person in a wheelchair, so will be layouts that will suit you both. Check you can get in & out too: some vehicles have a handle by the step that’s helpful. And be aware that there isn’t much storage space.
I can’t recommend any make in particular because there are so many variations in layout etc. As suggested, visit some dealers. If you can get to the NEC show, there’ll be dozens of different PVCs there. (New / expensive, but you’d be checking, not necessarily buying.)
Good luck & enjoy looking around. If you have a mobile phone, take photos to remind yourself.
Hi,
We have a panel van with a transverse bed. It’s so comfortable, especially after the bed in our last van but.. the person who has to climb across in the middle of the night for the toilet has to be agile!!
The one change I would make would be a length wise bed!
