What kind of advice do you need?
A bit more info would be helpful. Have you tried obtaining some quotes already and been declined and that's the reason for asking on this forum?
My caravan is 30 years old and is insured by ClubCare through the Camping and Caravan Club for a very reasonable price. I did also have my Volvo tow-car insured with them for a reasonable price too, but when I got a quote from them for my current X Trail I thought they had quoted me for an 18 year old wanting insurance for a new Ferrari! What is it with insurance companies?
No response from the OP but viewing their profile they last posted over 7 years ago which they were then living in Spain so more info is required from the OP as to whether they are now residents of the UK. If not then there is no point in offering any further advice as Spanish motorhome insurance will differ in terms of cover etc.
We had a MH that old until we part X’d it. We just phoned around for fully comp insurance one afternoon. Can’t remember which company we ended up with but all the firms were very happy to quote. The two club insurers were the least competitive for us but might be the best for the OP - there are too many variables to say that what suited us would suit someone else.
We were insured fully comp on our 26yr old Talbot Express motorhome through Highway until we bought our more modern RollerTeam. Comfort insurance were better priced on the newer motorhome but a recent cat theft from our personal car sent their premium rocketing despite thirty years without any claims on any vehicles whatsoever (isn't it unfair that something unrelated to the vehicle insured and not your fault can cause this?). We shopped around and now Highway are again the better quote but they do have a higher compulsory excess.
Oh, and for everyone's benefit if you've had a windscreen repaired or replaced through insurance on any vehicle in your name in the last five years, depite the fact it won't affect your premium or no claims history you still need to declare it or they have a get-out-of-gaol card for "failure to declare a claim" and can refuse to pay out if you have an acccident or claim in the future. All claims, no matter how small are recorded on the anti-fraud insurers database.

Hi Fiona W
Thanks for the information
We have Third Party and were curious to find out if folk had fully comprehensive.
Yes. Even elderly MHs are fetching silly prices at the moment, so it’s too risky not being covered for theft. The same model that we got £6K for as part X only 4 years ago was recently for sale online for £15K.
In my experience, fully comp is about the same price as third party fire and theft. I have never heard of anybody using the lesser options anywhere for a lot of years. My own van is 30, and insured by Principle.
