hi globetrotters, for those of you using ad blue in your rigs have anyone of you got used to adding the chemical before you get the warning light say thinking of a set number mileage say every 1500 miles or whatever ?

They say that you are likely to get a warning to top up at around 6000 miles. What I have done is to top up twice (3.5 litres in each case) The first time was around 5000 miles and I have added more after a 1000 mile journey to Scotland. I always find it best to do things to my timetable rather than others!!!

Citroen service dept told me to top up only when light comes on & then add at least 10litres. They say vehicles that have been topped up regularly with small amounts seem more likely to get adblue related issues. When light comes on you have around 1500miles before engine will not start so plenty of warning.
