Hi all
My problem!
I had to replace the above recently as the previous one had failed - but its not working as it should
I have a Whale WH1302 water heater and a Whale water master pump.
Prior to installing the new valve (very easy - two push fits) I descaled the tank.
I filled the water, turned the taps on and all went well and the pump stopped a few seconds after I turned the taps off. I waited and a few seconds later, the pump burst in and deposited drops of water out of the new valve. Every 10 seconds or so after that. It can be a few minutes or maybe half an hour before the pump kicks in again.
What’s wrong? I can’t think of anything other than it’s the pump playing up. Or am I missing something?
I know there are some tech wizards out there and I await their solutions.
Many thanks in advance

Check the push fits are pushed right in as this cutting in at random is usually due to air sucked into the system. It is caused by pressure in system dropping.

Sorted! I chanced on a YouTube video from a cha with the same pump configuration as me. He described the problem and it fitted my experience (pressure in the hot water tank was falling because of the pump not working properly).
I fitted a pump service kit (£58) - it was very easy and it solved the problem. I made sure all the push fittings were well seated as well.
Thanks for your help and I hope I can help with others who have a similar problem
