Gone bigger for our retirement trips! An Xplore CV X8. Much same as Elddis CV80 but funkier imo.Took delivery end of April but didn't get to use it much as couldn't drive for 8 weeks due to surgery. We've over 20 nights in it so far. Got everything we want but may beef up the offgrid capabilities next year. We'll see how it goes.
Very funky, enjoy your van and trips and create lots of memories.

But I must admit to not being a lover of those kind of alloys, as I say that's just me.

No - not just you. The looks of the van haven't been universally popular with a large chunk of mostly small c conservative CV owners. White & beige are popular! Even seen comments about the graphics having nothing to do with the outdoors. Given the random & mostly meaningless design of most campervan & motorhome graphics I was amused by that. I guess they have no experience of topo or OS maps & contour lines! It's RRP was also pitched at a higher price than it's identical layout/feature cousin the CV80. Fortunately I paid less than the the CV80's on the forecourts of most dealers.
Taste wise it suits us down to the ground. It can't be seen from miles away like white vans. We're all different.
Being the owner of a van that is black with a 7-colour rainbow related graphics on each side of the van, I am in the camp of 'white is boring'.

If you have a van conversion you are limited in the choice of base colour by what is available at the time, or have a respray I suppose.
Our first van was white, though I asked for not white, black or red. White was all that was available in the time we needed it. In the 11 years we had it we saw lovely blue or green shades.
Our second van is dark navy blue, that was the one available at the time.....
Aye & even then the convertor rarely offers all the available colours. This sub brand of Elddis is only available in black. I was originally planning on getting a van converted locally & having it painted in matt green Raptor paint.
I was mistaken before - the picture you asked about before is near Langdon Beck
I sourced my van as VW was not able to provide a build date for the MWB Crafter that I wanted 6 months after I placed the order in March 2020 just before the start of the Covid pandemic.
In late August 2020, I got fed up of waiting for a build date, and had concerns about losing my conversion slot; so off I went to look for a van as close to my original specification as possible.
I was prepared to accept any colour except orange - the original was a red van and I was going to put a big green stripe on each side.
I found a 2020 new automatic van with the same engine size in black in stock at one of the large van dealers, and jumped to it.
Out went the green stripe idea (all my cars had been green or red and green), and in came the ideas of rainbows as a reminder of the Covid pandemic.
Had it been white or blue, I would have opted for rainbows too as I love colours.

May I ask... Do you use that poptop bed?
Personally, we wouldn't... and I hate the thought of paying for something that we wouldn't use, so this model would be overkill for us (So would the price tag, in all honesty! )... despite it's obvious advantages and all round loveliness!
Must say, I love everything about the "groundfloor". And at sub-6m too. Fantastic!
We have similar layout but with fixed bed at back raised over a garage. Like the option you have of using as seating during the day but would miss the garage.
It's a lovely looking van you have - hope you have many happy trips

Here's to many happy years of roamin'.
Early days but I've used it on a few really hot nights as the ventilation options are great. Great for the view being so high up too.

We were going for a fixed bed originally but Mrs (& the little terrier) decided she preferred a lower bed & option of rear lounge. Surprised me! She's a dab hand at putting the bed up whereas she couldnt manage the bed in the old van. The bed will be left down occasionally especially on high mileage days
