How many miles have you done with a K&N filter
well I ran a honda accord for over 120k with a K and N filter and sold that about 8 years ago . And I still see it running around the town I live. There is talk about the fitration system used. It is not like a paper filter and like said will let in more particle. Thiis is protected by the oil lined and design. On test there was a differnce between 98% filtration from a stock OE filter. 97 % from a k and n. So not much difference there. People should worry more about running with old oil or poorly oil filters than how much particles go through the air filter.

They are not placed on to stock models due to the cost and the manufacturer keeping costs down. Also more likely is that manufacturers make money from servicing one way or another. by having a filter that is nether replaced means they would lose money. Think how many cars are out there of say a ford times that by say £6 for the profit to the motortrade for every car serviced.

Not everyone finds fuel savings or any power increase. But I certainly feel the difference most of the times. Its like driving a car on a nce cool night where your engine sucks in nice cool air.

Still SS hopefully I wont be stuck by the side of the road over the next 10 days when we are touring. See ya Wednesday am
