I have fitted a couple in the van and they are handy as most accessories come with a cigar plug on already.

Also one in each external 230V outlet box for use with a 12V tyre pump etc

Hi all,

http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/redirect.asp?redir=http://www.towsure.com/category/6995-Internal_Electrics_12_Volt

These are what I have installed in my motorhome.

If you are installing a socket to run a television, please ensure that your wiring is adequate otherwise it will keep cutting out due to the voltage drop between the battery and appliance, and ensure that a suitable fuse is incorporated in the circuit.

Be safe and always seek professional advice before messing with vehicle electrics.

Regards

Tassie

I have a similar socket for the Tv in the Oklahoma but its made by MK and the contacts have gone loose onto the plug.

Its possible to bend them in again but within a short space of time they went slack again.

I have now replaced the socket with one like you show in your pic(Clipsall) and it seems a much better product.

I have used the Clipsall before with no slackening off  as well

I totally agree with you comments on wirirg
