Aha! I thought you had a Conway and was wondering what had happened there. I like the Autosleepers and yes they hold their value. They are monocoque construction so tend to avoid the dreaded damp.
I have my heart set on the conversion as per my Shepton thread and I WILL get one, not sure when but I WILL! Every day I have asked OH if he has ordered me one yet.....
Happy hunting, there were loads of secondhand Autosleepers at the show so you shouldn't struggle to find one.
If I'm really clever I may do what I did with the Conway Crusader. I had it for two years and sold it for what I paid for it. I look after things obsessively. In my old house the kitchen still looked brand new after three years.
But of course there is a flaw in my plan. Once I get one I won't want to sell it, I know. So no matter how much I look after it, I will only recognise the value of all that loving care if I came to sell it. Which, of course, won't happen.
Sadly I entered a competition a few years ago; the first prize was Swift 4 berth Sundance. I drifted off to sleep for a couple of nights imagining where I would go first if and when I won it. Ah well - a girl has to have dreams.
Are we weird. My friends dream of large diamonds etc. I dream of a van with a cooker and fridge in the back!
He he he, diamonds? Nah. Motorhome? Yes please! Whatever floats yer boat, I like to have a nice house and a decent set of wheels. I don't care for jewellery, haircuts and manicures. Very low maintenance me.
I used to enter competitions to win a pony........ surprise surprise I never did!
