That looks really nice. I'm doing up a 1984 Talbot at the moment and will be looking at repaint in a few months time.

T4bloke.... it's interesting that you hand painted your van. I sold my Robinhood earlier this year to fund buying the Talbot and was surfing just yesterday about coach painting by hand. If I can build and spray a car I recon I can hand paint a van.

Any tips very welcome.

Regards

Peter

Peter,

I have painted a lot of Vintage Tractors by hand following advice given to me by an old Coach Painter. His advice was only use proper vehicle coach paint, I used to like ICI P383. Try to have the area to be painted warm and have undercoats well flatted down. When brush painting his advice was take a small area brush across first, brush down next, brush across again and brush down last. Use a top quality brush, and the beauty is you get a lot of paint on, so therefore if you have to T cut at any time you have plenty of paint to work with. Hope this is of interest.

David
