I used the microwave inside the van last weekend- great. Minimal food smells if at all. May also get a halogen oven as they seem almost made for campervan use. Its " open pan " cooking that is the culprit- whether its a pan or frying pan ....

I use a Remoska Electric Pan,its brilliant, its a bit like a mini oven pan
It roast a lovely chicken with pototos around it, does brilliant Baked Potatoes.
Toasted cheeds sandwiches, Casseroles, anything really and is suppose to be cheaper to run than a light bulb!
It keeps all the smells in while cooking

The Cook's Candles worked for me when I rented a small cottage, so perhaps they'd work in your camper.

Id love a Remoska but at over £100.00 dont think so......maybe a halogen oven which seems just as usable and a lot cheaper...

Sorry Cath, I haven't been back on here recently.
The Cook's Candles are about twice the size of a tea light and they come in pale green tins and they absorb cooking smells. Waitrose (amongst other places) sells them. I think there are various other types too, to absorb cigarette smoke etc but I haven't tried them.
That's probably not much help really is it? I'll check on the tin when I get home!

Cooks Candles are made by Price and cost £3.75. They last for ages though.
