A bit late on this one but I hope it may be helpful.

We had same problem - height of motorhome 2.9m and loads of gunk on top.

Found a great platform ladder on ebay at

A really well manufactured item and next day delivery. We bought the large one where the platform is about 4ft up so easy access to top of van but there are other sizes. We also were lucky with a special offer so got a free step. Altogether a very good buy.

perfect and problem solved.

Thanks to everyone for their replies

John

Just noticed that you have an Ace Capri. That's what we've got too! (Tent retired - old age!!!)

Have just spent the afternoon cleaning the top of all the green stuff and the pigeon droppings. Tomorrow I will start of phase 2 of the cleaning before trying the BobbyDazzler.

Thank goodness for the platform ladder, that's made it much easier!!!

Good luck

anyone sourced a good platform ladder for accessing their motorhome roof to clean it?

My roof has aquired a thick layer of green gunk which comes off fairly readily if you can get a brush to it. Problem is i tried briefly swinging off the top of a step ladder and it was apparent fairly quickly that it would end in tears ( and probably broken bones). I,ve had a look on tinternet at platform ladders but they all seem a bit low at about a metre.

My motorhome is 2.9 meteres high and you need to get yourself a bit above it to give you room to get a good brushing action on the go.

Anyone recommend a solution?

thanks

John
