Yes best thing we have ever done
Just gone through our trip log and in 23 months of motorhoming we've had 36 weekends at home
We go away all year round
If your really considering a mh take a look at
Motorhome fun forum I flick between that forum and this one as I search for the campsites through ukcs and still check up in the tent section
I have been looking, but we can do one more camp next year OH thinks, he'll be 73 and not the healthiest person. I do all the pitching packing away etc and I'm happy to do it as I love our tent.
Did you miss the room you have in a tent, that's what I love most and with a dog, who is normally wet from being in some kind of water it would make it smelly?
i'm so undecided, we also would have to have it in storage as there isn't room outside our house, but like you say more time away is definitely a bonus so i can see us looking maybe after our trip to France in the tent in June next year.
It took us probably 3 trips to get over the smaller space but we used to it now
When dave the dog comes in wet we have a towel waiting and dry him in the door way
We really don't miss the threat of wet pitch ups and wet pack ups and it's really nice being away in winter when the fair weather brigade pack their outfits up for winter
We've had whole campsites just to our selves
We also do 1 nighters now and then which was too much of a faff with the tent
------------- April Peak District Beech Croft Farm
May Peak District Duke of York
May Holland Delfse Hout
June Cotton Arms Nantwich
july/aug Cornwall Pentewan Sands
And quite a few local weekenders

Sounds like a plan in the making then, thank you I was worried that it would be too much of a change.
