Congratulations! Everyone's given you lots of advice, but the best advice I can give anyone buying a campervan, or a caravan for that matter, is to make sure that you have the time to enjoy it. Will the time that you have available justify the expense? It's no good buying something pretty if you haven't got the time to spend in it. Now go off, get your van and have a great time with it, go to Skeggy, travel the world, just enjoy yourselves, whatever, just make sure you get your money's worth.
Just to let you know you are not the only crazy out there. We bought our motorhome on Ebay sight unseen (apart from the photo's) and it cost more than you are shelling out. However it was from a dealer and came with a 3 month guarantee. The good news is that we feel we got our money's worth and the dealer was very good. I hope yours turns out as well as ours did.
I have a good feeling about this, it will be great like I've said before when we buy our cars I can tell by the talking to the seller on other end of phone if its genuine.
Worrying but very exciting and all sounds good - we probably hear too much about the bad deals and very little about the good ones.... looking forward to hearing about it!! Ana xx
It is small enough to drive as a car but big enough to live in with a sense of humour. At £6.5K it looks good. Enjoy the freedom and fun you will have in it.
With 45K on the clock it should be good for another 100K if the camshaft drive belt has been changed and regular serviced.
We nearly bought a new similar sized motorcaravan recently to return to camping, having had 3 previously - all big ones.) But on seeing it in the metal we decided it was too small for us old persons and chose a folding camper instead.
Hi there Tom n Gill, can I ask how this turned out then?? I'm asking because we bought a motorhome from ebay too that we hadn't viewed. So how is yours???
