My boss has done that a couple of times going north to Walsall and ended up on it by the M42, the thing is you expect to turn off to your left to change motorway and they have done both of the junctions north and south backwards, you stay on to go on the toll.
Quite agree, you really have to keep your eye on the road. Are the roadworks through Birmingham finished yet? Not that it wll affect us on our next and last trip this year (unless seriously lost). We are going to the New Forest. I don't think our car will understand that we are going south for once on the M1.
I think we will all have too grin a bare it as they are planning more of these toll roads all over the country. I must admit I think its very strange that the toll road has so many lanes to join it yet the M6 has only one lane to avoid it

I drive a citroen Berlingo Multispace (The van with windows which calls itself a people carrier), I suspect this would put me over the 1.3 metre limit. I have avoided that motorway and it looks like I must continue to do so.....
Does anyone know what we would be charged for a standard T4/ Caravelle please? E/R is back from the front axle, and I could always come off the diet if it helps bring the front down!!
The thing with the m6 toll is that even though it is a complete rip off i suppose it is better than queing in standstill traffic, if it were cheaper then maybe there'd be less traffic in the area surrounding the toll road
