Hi there, last year we towed are drag beetle on a A frame from Southyorkshire to the Santa Pod Raceway, Northamptonshire, we were never pulled over for doing that, we kept just under the speed limit and the drive was great.

Yes but Splitwidow the whole point of this thread is not who has or hasn't been pulled over or prosecuted but how to do it legally and the argument thus far is that the use of an A frame other than for recovery is not legal.  The question several of us has posed is for those of you using them how have you modified them in order to make them legal as the EU Directives indicate it cannot be done however nobody has replied yet with an explanation!

Therefore just because you ain't been pulled doesn't mean it isn't illegal and IF you were to be involved in an accident whether you caused it or not if you are doing something illegal your insurance companies will duck and dive like you wouldn't believe.

So, what have you done to your A frame to make it legal?
