Glad you had a great time. We've not been that far up yet. The weather has been brilliant hasn't it? It's fantastic down here in Cornwall AGAIN today! Long may it last - we're off to North Wales in 8 days time........and counting!
We are just back from another "few days away" with our MH! Went back down to Craigie Gardens and had a really relaxing time. When are you going away again, and where are you heading?
We're packing now and off in about 1/2 an hour!!!! Off to SUNNY North Wales (Colwyn Bay, Caernarfon and then beautiful Barmouth). Will be in touch on our return!

We had a BRILLIANT holiday in beautiful North Wales. Could highly recommend 2 out of the 3 sites we stayed on (one was a bit far away from 'walking places' for us but the site was clean and well looked after). Weather was good - thankfully not as hot as it has been since we've been back coz we'd have never slept in the camper!
Next planned trip is September (Dorset/Hants/Bath/Somerset) and all sites are booked. Not sure if we'll manage a weekend or two away in between now and then?

We have been away about 3 times over the last month, for about 3 and 4 days at a time, so I really have not had too much time to get online. Have been to two or three really nice sites, and on with a horrible Assistant Warden!!
Am checking out the calander to see when we can go away next, probably at the end of this month. Are you a member of the Caravan Club? or the Camping and Caravanning club?
No trips for us since North Wales1. Both really busy at work and 2. Don't really like sites packed with kids (as the whole of Cornwall is now), prefer out of season, quiet times!!!! We're trying to enjoy some of the great weather locally. Been down to Fowey (south Cornwall) for day trip - checked out all the sites en-route of course!
Next 'planned' trip is September when we go to Swanage, Dorset for 2 nights, then the New Forest, Hants for 2, then Bath for 2 followed by the last night in Glastonbury. It's the South West Motorhome Show that weekend so we plan a visit there too!!!
We've been members of the CC club for years (since we had our original caravan) but have now also joined C&C club so we have a lot more choice of sites. Mind you haven't stayed at C&C club yet - insured our MH with them though, coz they were the cheapest!!!!

Right, it's nearly 9:30, it's about 23 degrees already, blue skies, a nice Cornish breeze so we're off to take Paddy (labrador) to the beach for a swim.......will of course walk through the car parks and check out all the campers (as you do!!!!)
My OH works on a rota so we often have 3 or 4 days off mid-week, so it is ideal to just get away for a nice relaxing break, even 3 nights away seems like a mini holiday!
We too have been members of the C C Club for years, but also joined the C&CC a couple of weeks ago, really just to get the benefit of extra sites. Our last vist was to Scone C&CC at Perth Racecourse, it is a really nice site ( lots of walks for the dogs) and not as regimented as some of the CC sites, and all the wardens were so helpful, however it did have hoards of children, so the next time we visit it will probably be outwith the holiday period! Nothing against children but, been there, done it, and now we just like the peace and quiet!
The two trips before that were just down to Craigie Gardens our old favourite, it feels like a second home and the wardens are so friendly. The only grumpy warden was up north, maybe he was just having a bad day!!
It is so hot and sunny here today too, which is good because the Scottish Open is being played here this weekend, and the views are spectacular especially in the sunshine.

Sounds like a fantastic way to work to me!!! We both work full time Mon - Fri and get rubbish holidays so have to use them sparingly!!! That's why we always make the most of our time away. I work in refrigeration and, as you can imagine, it's manic when it's hot - deep joy!!!
My Uncle told us to join the C&CC and he said they're not quite as 'strict' as the CC club - must try one out soon?! We've not got any kids so really do try and avoid them on sites........dogs, well that's a different matter - the more the merrier!
Hope the weather held for the open - I'm sure it did. It's certainly been really hot here. Cornwall is now packed and will get much worse from tomorrow once the rest of the country break up! We have visitors (my Dad) staying at the moment and more friends down next week - hey, nice to be popluar.......Cornwall that is not us!
Fish & chips by the sea for us tonight, then a trip to Falmouth tomorrow. Far too hot to sleep at home, let alone in the camper at the mo so nothing planned short term! Have a great weekend - when are you away next?
You lucky pair - we still have 4 weeks to wait!!! Mind you we've been enjoying the brilliant weather and what we have on our doorstep over the last 2/3 weeks so mustn't complain?!
