Hi all,
I have a Movano LWB,but this will apply to most Hi Tops,I have just bought the Navigator XL awning and tried it out the other day.
Very pleased with it but there is a problem when you come to open the side door in that it will catch the material as it opens past where the awning comes down the side of the van
I just wondered if anyone has come up with a way of preventing this.
Many thanks
Steve

Hi all,

Just thought I would bring this back to the top for another try!!

This problem I'm sure would apply to many driveaway awnings and Hi Top vans

I have the same problem with the Navigator Awing. I haven't yet found a solution to this other than remembering to lift the edge of the awing when I open the door. That's not really much help is it?

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

The trouble is it would be easy to forget, especially with two young kids, and throw open the door in the morning and tear the material.

I wondered about holding out the material with something? that would allow the door to slide past but then rain may be able to come in.Or having a stop on the door to prevent it going too far

Is this too tatty? A length of gaffer tape stuck one on top of another length of gaffer tape stuck onto the fabric at the point at which it would / will soon tear. I wish i'd done just that before I tore our Reimo awning.
