to be honest I don't take out travel insurance for the eu, we rely on the renamed E111 - EHIC http://www.ehicard.org/?gclid=CJjBk4jpgYwCFRc-EAodU0RFvg and have a get you home clause in our Insurance policy. If you want cover shop around - the top age varies anything up to 75. Only really a problem if there is an existing condition which could become critical. imo anyway, others will probably disagree, but we have used the EHIC system satisfactorily on several occasions.p.s. you should be able to get 12 months cover anyway if you want it
have you tried direct travel in steyning.....alot of insurers only insure you for a certain amount of days at a time.....these are one of the better companies and will try and accomodate your needs....if you call them i am sure they will be very helpful
sorry they are down in sussex but it can all be done on the phone or the internet the web address is www.direct-travel.co.uk. as others have said though the e111 form is usually enough. we have full annual travel insurance with direct travel at a total cost of £69 for 2 adults 3 kids and with winter sports cover. this does limit us to how many days we can travel at any one time but how do they know how long you are away for? i can also say we made a claim with them 2 years ago due to a broken arm skiing and they were brilliant....is worth a try i think
