Not sure about this myself as I have never had to mess around with my rock and roll bed.  There's a few people on here with T25's and alot more knowledge than myself so I'm sure someone will help you soon.

Meanwhile hi and welcome to UKCS!

Thanks I need to know the way the lock on the hinges work (jk hinges) and how to find the correct level of the bed once it lays flat and once it's upright again.

also the fixing points of the bed .

Cheers

Think he got ours from Just Kampers, and did all you mentioned, will point him in this direction when he gets in....Unfortunately someone hit our VW in the rear on friday evening - not too much damage, the tow bar saved most of it...exhaust gone, back hatch dented and our chrome bumber dented...it went in last night to the garage for an insurance quote....poor old girls running like a real miss piggy with the exhaust gone

Hi Crazygang, as the missus said (Dartgirl81), I have done this and will try to explain, you need to make the seat base and back and screw/bolt them to the hinges, (remember there is a support bracket on JK's hinges that bolts through the rear angled floor panel, so there is a left and right and you can't really get them the wrong way round).

Then bolt the supports under the seat base, I recommend bolting all these parts on as I don't believe screws are strong enough.

Next, lay the seat base and back flat, (bed position), support it in place in the van and measure from the underside of the support bracket to the floor, this is the height of your seat box.

Once you've made the box, fold the seat up into it's seat position sit it on top of the box and mark the R&R hinge mounting holes through the steel hinges onto the box making sure the rear bolt brackets are in place against the angled floor panel.

It should then be a matter of bolting the hinges to the seat box and bolting the seat box down in the floor of the van.

I hope this helps, if you need more info I can try and take some photo's of mine on the w/e, with some more detailed measurements, I dont always get time to get on here so you can email me on mick-tilley at tiscali.co.uk

Couple of other things, I made mine out of 18mm MDF, very strong but too bl**dy heavy, OH can't put the bed away so I'm going to re-do it in the winter with more expensive, but much lighter plywood or blockboard. Also if you have rear seat belts the cusions must be fixed to the seat and back to meet legal requirements.

PHEW, need another glass of wine after all that.

Me again, forgot to say the lock mechanism is spring loaded and automatic, once the seat is all in place and working the auto lock will just work as you go from bed to seat position
