Servicing is no problem...lots of bongo friendly garages around the uk.

Parts don't seem to be a problem...more and more available at sensible prices.

MPG...2.5 Turbo diesel about 26 to 30 depending on how you drive....

They are a fantastic and versatile vehicle...certainly the best I've ever owned and I've been driving for 40+ years.

If you havn't already log on to www.bongofury.co.uk  the owner's club website

cheers

Also addicted to our bongo, it's a great vehicle to drive. The only problem is parking as you have to scan car parks for another one to park next to if at all possible!

I am currently looking out for a Bongo, my hubby needs convincing away from VW's, may be I can buy a pre loved one.

We sold our VW Clubman because it was a manual gearbox and I have a license to drive Auto's only.

Any advice gratefully accepted!

When looking to re-enter motorhoming after our kids had grown up, we test drove a turbo diesel automatic Bongo. It was fabulous! Smooth power and lovely to drive with nicley balanced steering. We loved it! We would have bought one but a little bit of good fortune enabled us to go a little bigger ( we bought a Trigano Tribute) but otherwise Bongos are a great piece of quite sophisticated kit.

I believe the Bongos average mid twenties, they are not known for good fuel economy.

I purchased a bongo ford freda auto top automatic 4 wheel drive, 3 weeks ago and have just returned from scotland on holiday with it. I done 1300 miles averaging approx 31 mpg and she drives like a dream. Despite my wifes concern about comfort(We are accustomed to a large motorhome) we both enjoyed the experience very much and were not saddled with towing a car or scooter to get around. Totally addicted and already spent a fortune on annex and extra comfort accesorries. Highly recommended as the easy traveller that can still be used as a car, And What a car!.
