Tried to down load Mio map update, didn't work, now my mio is frozen with a white screen, tried what mio told me load the down load card in and switch off with the hard switch leave ten mins switch on and it should start, no such luck, I,m still waiting for a reply from mio tech dept, but I wondered if any of you boffins know the answer, or is their somewhere I can send it to have it fixed.
I had a similer problem with a tom tom.downloaded update and had a white screen, try'd to reset it but nothing happend just frozen.took it back to the shop and they phoned tom tom who said i had to remove a file from it.one they had put in the download. So connected it to my pc and removed the file that way and it was fine again.Hope you get it sorted
Can you reset it some way - I have a hand held unit that has a very small hole at the back under the battery, by inserting a pen tip it resets the unit to factory settings, you will need to reload the unit once this is done so make sure you have the software

it sounds like the application is not on the unit have you backed up your unit. if you have then wipe your card or hard drive and then reload every thing back
My MIO has a small hole on the right hand side just below the earphone socket, if you press in here with the end of the pointer it should perform a reset. You have to do this after downloading updated maps.
