Can anyone give me the name of a Caravan/Motorhome repair place near to me please? They must be reasonable with their prices. In particular I need the Paloma looking at and the ceiling and then an MOT. Because it has been standing I could do with the name of a good cleaning service too especially for the roof.
I haven't even had the van on the road this year.
Oh and if anyone knows of a retired gardener?

I,m sure someone will come up with a cheaper option, but there is a Barrons Caravans just off the Industrial Estate. They have a full service centre and a tame garage nearby for MOTs. SInce I got my Second Hand home there I currently use them for Guarantee stuff. They always seem pretty busy and have always done what I have asked for. Cant vouch for the prices though.
Other options within an hours drive are Spinney Caravans just outside Holmes Chapel in Cheshire and Widnes Caravans. They both have service centres although I havent used them personally.
It is difficult to get your feelings across on here but I am so so down lately.
I bought this old but really quite nice motorhome two years ago. I went away in it after about 4 weeks to the Lakes and had a lovely time. Then last year I only had 3 or 4 weekends away in it but again felt very cosy as I had been buying little bits and bobs. The only thing was, I hadn't drained down the system the previous winter and the boiler was now leaking but I managed just with the kettle.
This year, I now have a grandson and because of looking after him I haven't been away at all. My van seems so forlorn just sitting there on the drive and I fear that the roof may have a leak although I can't detect anything and there is no smell of mustiness.
I was wondering if anyone knew of someone who was perhaps a mobile fixer who would come to give me an appraisal as the van isn't even taxed or anything you see.

Thank you to those who have replied but I really don't want to tax and test the vehicle just so that I can get it repaired.
I had wondered if there was a "mobile" tradesman who specialised in this sort of thing in my area. It would seem not.
I have this awful feeling of doom about the whole thing.
