We've got so used to having our memory foam topper on our bed at home that I was dreading our two weeks in Cornwall this year in our dear tin tent. And with the rear double bed not being a bog standard size, (3' 8" wide x 74" long), I knew it wouldn't be easy to get one for that. Also having to keep our weight down as much as possible with our 'Ellie' being longer and heavier than our old Esprit so if we were able to get a memory foam cut to size jobby, it would have to also be light weight.
So......dreading two lumpy weeks on that bed, I went for the option that other ukcs peeps have gone for with a relative amount of success for a comfy nights kip and got a single summer weight duvet, (really lightweight and doesn't take up much room for stowing in transit either), and hoped that would suffice.........it didn't!
So....before next years two weeks............yep.....that's right we only get two iccle weeks in it each year....DON'T ASK....it's a sore point ...it now looks as if I shall have to do some serious research and part with a substantial amount of dosh in order to get a thin memory foam topper even if I have to cut it down to size and make a cover for it meself coz I just cannot bear the thought of two weeks or even more agony than I have at the best of times with me arthritis and fibromyalgia anyhoo.
I've just taken a squiz on that linky doo dah but all of those are 2"ones so defo out for us.
Have to say though that I think memory foam toppers are the cats whiskers! And once you've experienced one....ya don't wanna go without
