A couple of points.

Why is electricity better?

if you have already paid for an EHU then the heating is done at no further charge.

Radiant heaters.

Any heater which emits a large amount of heat by radiation, such a catalytic heaters, electric bar fires, are dangerous in small spaces due to the fact that the surfaces receiving the radiated heat will, naturally, heat up and there is then the risk of fire. Radiant heating should never be left on in an empty van nor overnight when asleep. Its better to be cold than dead.

Normally a caravan/motorhome is supplied with convective or blown air heating - much safer.
