This info should be of interest.I have the water ingress problem but, there will be alot of people out there with new motorhomes that will not be aware of the problem.Look under your bonnets people and check for water lying in the injectors and for rusty parts as well.If you have a new motorhome on a Fiat or peugeot, you will definately have the water problem.
Hi everyone, just thought as a newby I'd try and get this thread back on track. ;-)
Re Kernow Camper's orignal post, quote, Anybody else had any recalls on their Fiats???? end quote.
Yes, we received a recall from Swift on our 2004 Fiat Bessacarr E795 to replace the two front seat swivels seemingly "there is a significant risk of disengaging or de-latching whilst the vehicle is in motion". Scary. We received it in October this year. We are currently touring Europe and aren't due to see UK 'til April. Been in touch with Swift and they will do it free of charge then. Uz2s.

Hi Kernow Camper, thanks for the welcome. We are new to this forum so feeling our way. Yep we have been full timing for four years now. At the mo we are on a fabulous little site in the Loire Valley and we are here for Christmas. BTW we are proper full timers, no house, sold it at the begining of the year.
Been trying to follow this thread but very difficult with all the aside lines. Come on people motorhoming and caravanning is supposed to be fun (BTW it is) life is too short so please no bikkering it's not fair on the rest of the community. It looks like a lot of you really know each other i.e. you have met each other, please remember we haven't. good to be part of your community, please be gentle with us.
Just looking back on this thread and the water ingress "problem" hasn't been a prob for us. The water runs down the front intake grill, under the bonnet then is channelled away very effectively and exits down two channels at either side of the engine compartment and over the headlights onto the ground. Every so often I open the bonnet and clean the algie that obviously accumulates due to the water. I have seen no rust. Uz2s.
By the way what is the weather like in the Loire Valley at this time of year ? and is everything open around you...........I could start a new topic as it is a place I fancy going.
------------- 'A motorhome is for life, not just for Summer'
Full timing is our dream. Will will achieve it one day, I don't have any doubts about that. In the meantime I'll just be envious of you and everyone else who have been brave enough to bite the bullett and go for it!!
Your Christmas sounds perfect. Ours will be great too - being on the North Coast of Cornwall (home)!!!!!
This forum is fantastic for finding out info and making friends. I've never met any of the people I speak to regularly but we all seem to get on fantastically (just ignore the above - they were all having a bad day!!!). We all obviously have something in common - we love our motorhomes/caravans/tents - and who wouldn't?!
Glad you don't have the water ingress problem. Hopefully we won't come next week when Fiat get it sorted!
Have a fab day in France. Weather forcast from Bude - overcast, drizzling with rain, cold and very windy - just a typical day in Cornwall!!!!
Take Care,
Sharon (Kernow Camper)

Fortunatly we do not have an issue with water ingress from the engine, as its and "A" class. Saying that this summer time, when I opened the bonnet to fill the water wash, I noticed a birds nest on the battery!! Heaven only knows how that got there (OK by the birds) as we use our MH on a very frequent basis
