Does anyone here have a Renault trafic T1000 and if so could you please tell me what the tyre pressure should be as I don't have the handbook.

I was told they should be at 55 but the 4 tyres are all at 35.

Thanks, Graeme

Have you got an oval plate, located along side the windscreen washer container in the engine compartment, or on the facing step of the driver's door. Because when we had a Traffic a few years ago that was where the info was printed.

The big debate on the MHFacts forum is as follows:-

If the vehicle is on Michelin 'Camper' tyres the handbooks (for the chassis) suggest only one pressure which is the maximum. This seems to be normally between 55 and 70PSI.

The reason being that the vehicle, with a MH on the back, is always at full load.

To soften things up it is advised that the loaded vehicle is weighed and then Michelin will recommend a tyre pressure. However you can simply phone Michelin with tyre and max weight details (inc. max axle loads)  for a suggested pressure.

HTH.

PS. Michelin 01782 402000.

Hi, Graeme, I don't know about tyre pressures I'm afraid but I'm the secretary of the Renault Trafic Motorhome Register and we have a Yahoo group which is open to non-members - someone on there will be able to help you.  Try http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/rtmo/.  You'll have to register - and you may even like us enough to become a fully fledged member of the RTMO - only about £7 a year (I think - it just went up!) and all the help you could want and some good rallies.

Nora
