Hi

Can anyone help me with some info please?

I have a hymer van on the new ford transit base.The air from the front demister vents is nearly non existant,even on full blast.have spoken to ford & they are not sure why,said they may have to remove dash to investigate problem ahhhhh.It is under warrenty but dont like the thought of them removing the dash (big job) any feed back  would be most welcome...regards

I would have a crawl under the facia and make sure that all the pipes are connected and the flaps/valves are working with the facia levers.

If nothing is obvious I would take it to Ford for it to be done properly.

Just an idea. Check that the vent is set to bring outside air in and not set to re-circulate mode.

A couple of friends in the past said their vents were not that good at de-misting the windscreen. Seems they always had it set to re-circulate, but once they changed this they had no further problems!

I've got a 2009 Ford transit based Hymer and have got exactly the same problem. I know yours was sometime ago, but can you help (what was your problem with the blower)?

Pollen filter? My daughter just bought a used VW Golf and the fan air was near non existant. On checking, the pollen filter was blocked solid with leaves.

OR
You could check if the flexi pipe to the dash air vent unit has simply come off. That happens.
