Hi can anyone tell me if it is possible to wild camp in my van at this years world rally wales, and watch for free the kids want to go but I have just seen prices of the tickets, and they have no chance of going to expensive for the family.

You would need to research the course of the rally and see if you can find a suitable spot.  It's surprising how much of this can be done from a good map but a reccie of the area beforehand would make you better prepared.

Sounds like an interesting idea.

I used to follow the Lombard RAC Rally when it was going many years ago like this – trick is to know the route and stages and make sure your on the stage before the Marshall’s turn up. Mind you –that would be very early, cold mornings early morning don’t agree with my kids

 

Regarding wild camping, would recommend checking the roads and parking areas prior to making your journey as many of the stages will not be assessable with a camper van, so you might need bikes or some other form of transport to get you near to the section you want to cover.
