We have recently fitted a larger (3m) fiamma awning to our Symbol and we wondered if it was worth getting a rafter to keep it from flapping in windy conditions. Fiamma seem to do 3 or 4 different ones . Does anyone have any first hand experience of using these

.

We used one on our previous van that had a 3metre awning and,as kontikiman says,it did not do any harm!

We now have a 4metre awning on our present van which came with a rafter as standard.

Shame you are not closer to Yorkshire,we still have the rafter for the fiamma awning!
