We've just filled the water tank on our Duetto for a trip away tomorrow and we've got a fair old leak coming from the body of the shower tap when ever we switch the pump on!(..soggy loo roll NOT good!)

 I've removed the handle and given the large brass nut a bit of a tweak..and that seemed to have stopped it for now(..even though I didn't think the nut actually moved!).

 I'd rather have a proper "go at it" ,when we get back..but not being sure what I'll find(and indeed,if it's servicable!)..I was just after a few pointers..

It seemed to be weeping from the threads..so is it okay to use plumbers tape/putty?(..though I'd rather not)

Or does a leak from the tap body,indicate that it's on the way out?

Why is it always just before we set off?

Hope your fix lasts for you.  All I can think of is to see if you can google and phone ahead to find a stockist on route who has a service kit.

I had similar probs with mixer shower tap.

Remove large nut, then remove ceramic cartridge.  Below this is a multi-holed rubber washer.  In my case the washer was being 'moved' by a build up of limescale thereby causing the leak.  I'd previously tried tightening the large nut, and this worked for a short period.

We just got back yesterday..the "fix" lasted but I'll strip it down sometime this week..
