can any one help tell me wot is safe to sterilise my water tanks on my campervan .the tanks i cant take them of  the tank is a fifty gallon tank plastick what would be the safest to use . and iff i cant get it all out will it be safe to drink???

Use Milton steralising fluid. need to use a lot and flush out very much. but it will clean the tanks ok, as long as you fill it right up with the correct mixture and flush it all out.

By the way, are you sure its a 50gal tank? Thats a hell of a lot of water.

hi sue & bob should i leave it in over night ?. yes its a 50gal i use a lot of water to wash the motobikes of at the end of race days some times not enough on wet days.

Hi dondon1

OH is just about to use our bottle of Milton Fluid and on the label it says:

Camping Travel Tip - to make water safe for drinking, use half a teaspoon (2.5ml) of Milton to 5 litres of water and leave for 15 minutes.

For anyone who is about to buy Milton, in Tesco the large (1250ml) bottle is half the price of the small bottle.  I don't know if this is an error on Tesco's part but hey-ho.
