can any one help i am looking for some insurance on my campervan i have done the conversoin my self so what company will insure me my van is a mercedes 814d wich is the same as a 811d please HELP thanx??????

Yes, we have self build, and through SBMCC insured through Jamie from Insurance Choice. Very pleased. google insurance choice.
If I remember rightly the two companies above won't insure some/lots of London postcodes, so I really had to search around.
insurance were the best price on my self build(via highway). Adrain flux quoted £600+ where insurance choice came up with £264 -this was for domestic, pleasure and commuting based on 12000miles per year!
Can recommend Shield Insurance. We took out our policy in March and recently upgraded our cover to cover the full value of the conversion without any problem at all. Seem to be very helpful.
Try HIC (Herts insurance consultants) on 08451 290290. I got their number from the Just Kampers site I think. I tried Adrian Flux and also Shield plus a few more but these were cheapest by miles. Very helpful and will give you an agreed valuation based on 5 or 6 photos (4 external and one or two internal) if you want one. Didn't try Insurance Choice though.
