got a 5 month old boxer avantgarde 180 which belches out smoke and runs rough until warmed up.  any ideas?

I have the same van and no smoke is present on start up. As for being rough, aren't all diesels like that until warm ? I certainly wouldn't call mine rough but it does smooth out as it warms.

If you've any doubt, take it to a Peugeot garage...

when i say rough i mean seriously sick but after 15 mins its fine.  dealer is still trying things.  fingers crossed

Whilst it is at the dealers, ask about the 2 recalls; one for a fuse upgrade and the other for a software update...
