Nightmare at Robin Hoods Bay. I took my new motor home to RHB last week and tried to fit the brand new Fiamma 3.0m privacy room (clip system) to the F45 awning. It took 3 hours and even now I am not sure that I fitted it correctly. Does anybody know if the metal struts actually clip into anything or do they just rest on top of the awning pistons - the pictures appear to say that they do? There are all sorts of angles and a red sprung clip but the shape of the plastic at the end of the strut does not fit or clip into anything. The Fiamma "fitting" instructions are a grainy photocopied masterclass in Italian mystery. HELP

Hi, we had a fiamma privacy room - clip system.   Like you it took hours until we ha successfully put it up for the first time, then we reckoned on about 20mins. so don't give up.

We have a new van and can't remember exactly how to fit - but are sure it 'clips' into awning http://www.jacksons-camping.co.uk/fiamma/privacyroom.htm  thi link might be helpfull.

Good luck

Thanks for this - I still cannot see how it can "clip" into anything unfortunately. I am becoming convinced that the privacy room and the awning (fitted on the van when I bought it) are not compatible but I cannot find anyone who can tell me that. I bought the privacy room on Ebay from a supplier but he isn't answering my queries. I won't give up, though!

How old is your van? The privacy system is a recent addition.

Brand new. The F45 awning came as part of a package and the privacy room was also brand new (i.e. in original packaging and unused), although I don't know how old it was if you get my meaning.

In that case I would contact Fiamma. From my experience not all their products are compatible.

Yes, there have been quite a few different models,  same with the Caravanstore awning, it can be really confusing.

Do you have the precise model numbers?
