Hi there,

The wind function of my Fiamma Polar Ventilator (with thermostat control) to open the ventilator has stopped working.  The knob rotates ok and I can see the vent lift slightly but no open.  I can push the vent up by hand while operating the wind knob and it stays open.  The vent closes as normal by turning the knob in the closed direction.

I assume something has worn or come adrift, does any one have details of how to repaire the working parts as i can see nothing in the Fiamma manual nor on their website.

Any help would be greatfully appreciated.

I have the Fiamma turbovent 160 with the same control. As my one is new i've not had any problems but if it goes wrong in the future it's nice to know the  cure.

So Sorry for my very late reply.

I contacted the number you gave me and the guys there were very helpful.  Looks to be caused by 'wear' in the screw type assembly more likely caused by someone winding the screw in the wrong direction or continuing to wind the screw once the vent was closed.  Either way looks like a strip-down and replacement screww type assembly.
