HEY GUY,S HERE IS A POSER FOR YOU .

My merlin will lose it,s charge very quickly and is always slow to turn over , so I sent it ot the auto elecs and they found the starter motor to be slow so rebuilt it .

Still the same so it went back they had it for 5/6 days could not find a fault nothing draining out etc. All of the batteries have been changed and are new so i have now fitted isolators so i am now thinking is a very bad earth fault .

Any Ideas or advice would be gratefuly accepted.

If your starter and leisure battery are both flat it may be a split charging problem. Both batteries should be seperate and the only thing in common with both batteries is the charging circuit.

Hi,as tou have already said it could be a bad earth, why not replace the earth cable ?,a good indicator is if it is the insulated type cable peel back the insulation and see if it has gone green.

Well lordampton that is a very good thought and only today i thought i would not only replace the main earth cable but i would also take another earth off the motor to the chassis.

I will let you know how it goes and once again thanks for your thoughts it,s much appreciated.
