Hi, I've just bought a fiamma bike rack for my T5 camper and decided that a back box would a good idea for extra storage.  However, I've recently looked at the price of the Fiamma ones and the they are far too pricey.  I've looked at the soft bag option but the sites say they are not suitable for the T5 bike rack.  Does anyone have any ideas as to a low cost alternative or has anyone used the soft bag on a T5 rack?
Cheers,
Oz

I did see a chap who'd used a heavy duty plastic tool chest on his bike rack and to be honest it looked okay....

Sorry, didn't catch the make of it but it may be worth just looking it that sort of direction..

(..also,just check out the ads on here...back boxes have cropped up in the past)

Hi Oztaylor

Lidl were selling a garden store about the size of a back box for about £40. Our local Homebase also have something similar. I bought one from Lidl and have assembled it . Not as sturdy as a back box but I think it will do the job - not been out with it yet. I have re-inforced the base with plywood to make sure the U bolts don't pull through from the bottom of the box.

Oz

I don't know if you've seen 'em but there are several back boxes on ebay at the moment.

The last one to sell,a 360,only went for £75 !

They may be worth a punt!

Chris
