Hello everyone

I have got a slow drip on the fresh water tank from the outlet valve on my Symbol.  It needs re-sealing with a silicone sealant, is it ok to use an all purpose silicone sealant (high modululs silicone with fungicide, mould resistant & waterproof) or is there some fancy type of sealant I need to use?  Would appreciate a reply as I am off soon for a few days to shell island where I don't want all the water to drip out.

I would suggest tank repair from plastic padding it will cure your problem .

Thanks for your reply Delboy but I've checked that out on the web and my problem is that it's not the tank itself, it's where the drain plug fits into the tank and that is sealed by a silicone product that doesn't completely ever set.  I was just wondering if the product I mentioned is ok to use on a fresh water supply.
