The short answer is yes, I have been a member for 20 years and have used them 3 times, I chose the RECLAIM well that was the only option when i joined and i must say that they send the cheque back by return of post so on all occasions i have had the money back in my account before the credit card has been debited, hope that makes sense.
There is a limit on the size of vehicle they will recover this is an extract direct from their web site
http://www.motoringassist.com/breakdown
"Please Note: Any vehicle means private car, car derived van or motorcycle. Motor caravans and motor homes will only be covered if they are under 3000cc and do not exceed 7 metres (23 feet) in length (including any extra fitments). HGV's, LCV's, minibuses and American left-hand drive vehicles are not acceptable.
However I am seriously looking at changing to ADAC later this year, if you travel in Europe they appear to offer a very very good deal,

hope that helps
