Has anyone got the Kyham motor Dome Excesior for a caravan? It states it can be used for Motor Caravans and Touring Caravans but I can't seem to find any pictures of it on a caravan, they all show Motor Caravans.

Would appreciate any info anyone has, first time caravaners and we want to make sure we buy the right awning, we have a Geist 630 Signature (xklusive) Thanks!

I would be surprised to see one of these being used with a caravan.

Caravanners don't need the awning to be "stand alone" and so there is no point in them paying over £300 for a stand alone awning when they can get one for a lot less that isn't stand alone, and is less bulky and half the weight.

Have you looked at the Outdoor Revolution range of lightweight caravan awnings?

I use 2 different sized Kyham Tents as Awnings.

One (that came with the van) is a Kyham Sunhouse (see my gallery).
The second is a Kyham Driveaway which I converted as it is made to fit a VW Kamper.

Both of these were the only alternative for us if we wanted an awning because a standard awning will not fit on our van.
We do not have an "awning rail" and the porch type awning are too high for our van.

Because they are both "stand alone" they can both be used as ordinary tents an so give us the choice of whether to use the van or just go canvas camping.
