In need of a new fuel tank and heat exchange pipe for our 1980 VW T25, but can't seem to get hold of either of them. Seems to be no problem getting hold of tanks etc to fit the later water cooled ones but our aircooled camper is proving difficult to get some parts for. We have tried Just Kampers, GSF and many more but no-one seems to have them. If anyone out there knows where we can get one from would be really gratefull. :-)
If you have tried all the usual ones, all I can suggest is you try John Austin the independant VW specialist at Marks Tey, tel 01206211483, he might be able to find 'em for you.
It might be also worth trying a VW van centre, one in Chelmsford I think, they have deleted a lot of T25 parts but they sometimes manufactuer a batch if there is enough demand.
its a while ago i had a vw garage. but if i remember right you fit the later one and change the fuel filler neck..we used to get them from uro.now gsf. but kust kampers i,m sure will tell you if i,m correct. ask to speak to mark tell him alan from volksupply told you to ask.
just had a look on just kampers site they do list later ones and say change filler neck. if you look at the top of motor homes page we have a direct link .search for fuel tanks .
