In June last year, I bought a brand new motorhome from a well known national supplier in East Anglia, where I live. As one might expect there were teething troubles to start with. These were fairly quickly sorted out.
Subsequently more serious faults have become apparent. Some of which are clearly design faults, and would be very difficult to put right. Others include an oven that won't work, extremely flimsy fittings that have broken, doors falling off cupboards, a suspect charging system, etc, etc. I have 3 sides of A4 listing the faults.

What I need is an accredited engineer's report, as I intend to show that the motorhome is not fit for purpose, and would like the supplier to take it back and reimburse us, less the value of the use we have made of it.
Has anyone had a similar experience? If so, I would like to hear from you, and what you did about it.
Many thanks for any help

Sorry, I have not, but that sounds horrendous. Good luck. I think that has just made my mind up. I am going to save and get a tent. A bell tent I think.

Have you given the supplier a reasonable chance to fix all these items? That has to be done first. If they fail to fix them in a reasonable time, then you can proceed.

Can't be of any real help, sorry, other than to say make a nuisance of yourself!

..but reading through some of dsewll's links,it amazes me just how much some MH owners "roll over",instead of sticking to their guns..

(..having said that, faced with a 2-3hr drive back to a dealer or spending a saturday morning fettling with the 'van on your driveway putting things right, you can see why folks do fix some things themselves..myself included  )

I feel that on far to many occasions, rather than the vehicle undergoing a thorough PDI,the dealers play the percentage game and the customer is used as a fault finding mechanism...

( "..they'll bring it back,if there's something wrong.." )

Of the three 'vans we've had, there hasn't been one that's been faults free, when we've got it home..they've all had either faulty water tank gauges, faulty  filler caps, step warning buzzers not working etc.(..All pretty simple stuff to fix but things that should've been picked up during a PDI carried out by a competant service engineer!)

..Just because a dealership has  an array of nice flags and the staff all wear nice coordinated sweatshirts, who offer you a "free" coffee from the vending macine, doesn't make 'em a good dealer!

Chris

If you tell us what make and model it is there may be other members experiencing similar problems with the same van who might be able to advise you.
