Our Hymer transformet rectifier is no longer working. It's an Electroblock EBL 99 and we have been quoted £300 for a replacement through a well known dealership. Does anyone know where we can obtain a cheaper replacement and how to remove the existing one.

in Germany, they will repair it for less. Several people have posted that they have done this on other forums. You can compose your message in English and then use an internet translator and send both versions.
Hymer UK (Brownhills at preston) said exchange old unit for new for £300 and it's just a plug in unit. However, through a friend of a friend got it repaired at an electronics repairer for £40 as simple fault. Total cost £80 to remove, repair and re-install.
