Could anyone offer advice on a good insurance company as I've found it difficult getting quotes for a converted camper van.

We've got a Renault Romance (Traffic) - it's a Holdsworth conversion 1984.

Also, the beds aren't very comfortable. You make 2 singles out of a combination of the front seats and mattresses - anyone who has one will know what I mean. Has anyone found a better way of making up a comfortable double bed in one of these vans?

Look forward to your advice and thanks in advance,

Andrea

HI Andrea

If its a holdsworth you should not have a problem getting insurance try Adrian Flux he has a good rep for motorhome insurance.

As for your beds it may be worth investing in some memory foam or firm sponge about 4/5 inches thick that would probably help with the comfort levels.

Hope this has been of some help to you please let us all know how you get on

Delboy

When looking for quotes make sure you state that the van is a professionally built camper conversion from new as insurance co's have problems with home built conversions. As Holdsworth have long been out of production its possible the insurance co's don't have the name on their data base or they might have it as 'Richard Holdsworth'
