We are planning a trip to Northern Ireland at the end of July and would love to hear from people who can recommend sites near to Strabane and Giants causeway. We are planning to travel around visiting family which I am looking forward to but as we went to Florida last year our 13year old girl and 11 year old boy are not so keen. So if anyone can recommend some exciting places places to visit that would also be very helpful.

Thanks

Susan

A good day out for all the family would be the Ulster American Folk Park between Srabane and Omagh, they have a good web site. Good beaches would be Portrush Whiterocks, Castlerock and Magallian thats if the sun shines!!! Cant help with any sites though. have a good trip.

When I was a student at QUB, many, many moons ago, it was said that the best thing about N.Ireland was the boat to Stranraer!! Nothing ever changed my mind, but I expect that the place has changed a lot over the years .

The Giants Causeway is, IMO, worth seeing, but not worth going to see, however, if the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge is still there, you should see that. The best place to visit I found was the Ulster Folk & Transport Museum, just south of Belfast - though that may not be on your route.

Two drifters off to see the world.

I'm tired of reality, so I'm off to look for a good fantasy.
